Building Stuff

January 20, 2010

There are a lot of things brewing for 2010. Helping people reach their potential seems to be the key to my own personal success.

On that note I had the opportunity to meet Dashon Goldson, who is a safety for the San Francisco 49ers. He was laced up with all the new gear from Sneaktip by Jerry Meng and I took some quick photos of Dashon with some of his new gear. Here are some of those pictures.

Look out for Dashon and I wish him all the luck in his off season training and the 2011 NFL Season.

On the topic of building, let me list some of the dumb things you have to hear around the new year:

“I will stop doing (insert whatever you want here) when the new year starts!” – If you have to stop doing something it usually isn’t good. Why wait?

Any New Years Resolution – No one EVER keeps these.

and lastly the most annoying statement of all…

“I got big things planned for the new year!” – Why do you have to wait for a new year to plan big things? Never really understood that.

My top 10 products of 2009

December 18, 2009

Finding motivated people is very hard to do. I would be 1000 times more productive if I worked with guys like this every day.

don’t let the picture fool you…

Check out ToeKnee’s and Jerry‘s blog. They are both motivated individuals who are doing things.

Now that 2009 is coming to an end, I have decided to rate my top 10 products I have purchased in 2009. I am not one of those guys that will preach on getting something and not actually owning it so here they go:

10. Ipod Nano Video 16gb

I have every single Ipod ever made. This one is pretty cool and a portion of my proceeds went to AIDS research. The video captured on here is pretty good only sucking because you need a lot of light. Other than that it is a good purchase to get if you need an MP3 Player.

9. McDonald’s McRib Sandwich
The McRib consists of a boneless pork patty, barbecue sauce, onions and pickles served on a 6 inch roll. The patty is precooked, frozen and later reheated. I picture God eating this when he really has the munchies. If you have not tried one, try it today.

8. Nintendo Wii
This little concoction is a must have for any house full of people. Playing it on your own makes you feel like a geek though, but if you have a room filled with friends, it will be hours of fun.

7. Flip HD mino
I have this little device on me 90% of the time. The video taken is by far the best of all the little hand held video camera’s. It is GREAT in low light situations and easy to use for stealth op recordings.

6. Apple Macbook Pro 13′
This right here is my baby beast. I am absolutely in love with this thing that I had to purchase a protective case as well as a bedside table. I do a majority of my work on here and i really suggest you get one so we can IvideoChat.

5. Sony Ps3
I repurchased this in the beginning of the year. Blu ray movies and countless hours playing my games has been the source of my unproductivness. But messing with my PS3 is like messing with my emotions, you just don’t do it. Add me on the PSN network at allenthekiller

4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition
This game is not only fun, but the night vision goggles are ridiculously cool. I blame this game for me not doing anything but I can not stop playing.

3. Fight Night Round 4
This game is ridiculously fun, and I love it a lot because I am really good at it. When i was really cracking out I was ranked 70 in the world. Call me a loser all you want, but I really do not think you can beat me in this game.

2. Various re-released Jordan’s
I think this picture does it all. Please Jordan brand, Keep re-releasing them classics, but please keep in mind, you have not released any 11′s in a while. I wanna see a huge push like you all did for the 1′s. Space Jam’s are re-released this week so there goes more money.

1. Snuggie
This is by far my most favorite thing I have purchased all year. It makes everything else I do a lot easier. Working, playing games, watching TV and even reading is much more comfortable when I am using the Snuggie. I love it and I am a firm endorser of this product.

There goes my 10 products of 2009! They are the best and if you want more info just hit me up and I will tell you all about them.

Tis The Season

December 15, 2009

Well as you can see, I totally slipped up and stopped blogging. According to my stat tracker people have been logging on here so I am sorry. I will try to post more in the future.

The holiday season, other than my birthday week, is the funnest time of the year. My views on this holiday has drastically changed as I have grown older. The wanting of things would always overwhelm me as I asked for anything and everything to everyone the would listen. It is weird but now I take the joy in giving to others and seeing the expression in their faces as they get what they want. Pretty weird change but that is how I feel. So spoil all your loved ones.

Speaking of love, this is also the time of the year where you look for “cuddle buddies.” The love bug has struck some of my closest friends. As you all know, I am not one to put people on blast, so here are a few pictures of some of these LOVERBOYS. Don’t worry I have edited the pictures to protect their identities.

This guy right here has made me proud. I won’t tell you who he is but he is actually a man and that makes me happy.

Cupid has really come early for this guy. Without giving too many hints on who he is, he shows me everyday how much of a loverboy he is.

This guy finally got me jealous this month of one of the girls he was “dating.” Never thought it would happen.

This good friend of mine is a loverboy in his own way. I hope everything works out for you friend. You are still my hero.

This guy right here has been under the shackles and celebrated his 9 year anniversary in 2009. When I made fun of him about his lengthy prison sentence he told me this:

“I don’t pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell you what it is for me, love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything about yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of, love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone, but still getting weak knees when they walk into a room and smile at you.”

I then looked at him with a tear in my eye and said,”You are a GAY!”

This is my meaning of LOVE

because I Love it and you know all you ladies love it and yes that is a Snuggie and I do love it!!

The Enabling Friend

June 3, 2009

Had some technical difficulties and had to delete my last post. Some gay guy made me take it down, but because he asked me, I reluctantly agreed to doing it. He made me also agree not to let you all know who it is or mention anything about this again.

On another note, my favorite gay DJ is coming from San Jose:

DJ RAYZARUCKUS

Yesterday was one of my best friends bday. If you have not gone to Manna in K TOWN, you guys need to celebrate a bday there. It is wild and give you a bigger appreciation for the party atmosphere that the Korean people love.

Jo getting caked by Myron and Jerry

Which brings me to my point of the day. A really big lesson that my High School football coach told me has stuck with me to this day. “Surround yourself with positive people, and positive things will happen.” I have been blessed to this point to have some of the greatest friends ever. When I look around at other groups of friends, it shocks me that they continue to allow their friends to act stupid. That is what I call the ENABLING FRIEND. That is a friend who you come to for advice, and they give you the stupidest advice, knowing that what you are arguing for in the first place is dumb. You see this a lot in groups of girls for some reason, which in my personal evaluation, leads to about 50-75% of relationship breakups. Is it really necessary for people to argue about 90% of what they are arguing about. If someone is looking for advice, especially from a friend, they should get it.

On monday, we were at Rishi’s house for his surprise bday. I was asked why I am so mean to Stephen.

The reason why I act the way I do towards Stephen is because if I am nice to him, I am telling him that I agree with the way that he acts. No one can say they have not tried to get him to change his ways more then I. He was hanging out with me for over a year, and yes i had to listen to his DRAMA every single day. For all those that know him, something is ALWAYS wrong. So after a while, I said that if he wants to act like a fagget, I will treat him like a fagget. The day he decides he wants to let little shit go and just be happy, then I will treat him better.

So in closing, life is to short to argue about little things in life. Who cares if you are the last to know about something, internet drama, what someone else is wearing, you bumped into me, the amount of gogo’s that are on the bill, GIRLS, who is at certain places with a whole group, the amount of time you spend with someone, the length of time it takes for you to call back, not answering your phone! These are just small little things, but most importantly, if your friends are acting stupid, be a real friend and tell them what’s going on. Do not enable them to continue to act like a moron. Do not tell them that it is ok to cry about the little things in life. You will be a much happier person and a way better friend if you do so.

Shut Up!

May 12, 2009

Before I move on to the topic of the day I would like to talk about our annual picnic that was held last Saturday at Westgate Park in Cerritos. It was an event filled day highlighted with a Taco guy who also had Dirty Dogs.  The night ended with a good ol basketball game which was host to a packed house of our scenes hottest club goers.  We had a game were I was stuck on a team with Marc “the bag holder” Olano and these 2 other guys and we played against an all star team consisting of RJ, “the buff guy” Carl (Jackie’s cousin) and
Myron “Frenchie” Marten
and

Abel “Pinoy/Pinay” Lumikang

It was a close game and it was down to the wire when I took it upon myself to put my team on my back and sail on to VICTORY with a sort of a kobesque performance. It was tied, 12-12, the game was up to 13 and we had the ball. Unfortunately we do not have the game on video, but it went a little something like this. Yours truly will be playing the role of Kobe Bryant on this clip:

That is pretty much how it went. I did that on both Myron and Abel to win the game and I have plenty of witnesses. Here is what one witness had to say about my performance on aim:

swtguyhbk (1:26:55 PM): that move was very kobesque
swtguyhbk (1:26:57 PM): HAHAHA
swtguyhbk (1:27:00 PM): not too shabby

On to more pressing issues. Why do SOME guys, especially friends, fight over women? There is an incident, where I have learned that one of our friends was trying to date a girl who wasn’t interested in him. She asked about another one of our friends but was quickly told that he had “plenty of girls” and made the assumption that he had kids. This incident happened a while ago, but still, why do people do that? During the golden age of promoting I can vividly remember the days of “the chase.” If the girl was not interested in you, but was interested in one of your friends, we always differed to our friends with the thought of, “If I am not getting with her, at least on of my friends are.” These days, you can’t bring anyone out because everyone is trying to get with everyone. There is a huge lack of the respect of the game now. My friend wanted me to call people out on this, but I won’t. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE THOUGH.

This does not end with guys though. Girls are the worse.
Just like in the movie Mean Girls, I have heard so many girls talk so much crap about each other, then when they are together, they are best friends. I say if you can’t say anything to that person in their face, don’t say anything behind their back.
I call Stephen a fagget in his face, so that means I can call him a fagget behind his back too. There is the difference. ****** note for my previous dress code blog!! PLEASE DO NOT WEAR A FISHING HAT TO A CLUB ****************
Follow the words of our generations greatest philosopher and teacher:
who had the greatest life lesson of them all when he said: “Loose lips sink ships.”

Fake Fans

May 12, 2009

It just dawned on me how people are such fake fans. It is no mystery that I USED to be a huge Laker fan. After the demise of the team and the chasing of Shaq out of town, I made a conscious choice to move my allegiances to the Clippers. Since then I pretty much had the chance to enjoy sports in a whole new light. I was so one sided and hated everything other then the Lakers. I believed that I robbed myself of truly appreciating some of the other superstars that were coming up as i was growing up. I can not believe the hate i had towards Michael Jordan, who in retrospect was such a great player. Why was I so blind to appreciate everything he was when I was watching him live. Re-witnessing a lot of his games on ESPN classic made me appreciate what he has brought to the game.

Don’t get me wrong! I love Magic Johnson, AC Green, Terry Teagle, James Worthy, Cedric Ceballos, Nick Van Excel, Mike Smerk and even Chick Hearn, but I hated everyone else (other than Charles Barkley).  I love my Clippers and I want to see them win, but I also do acknowledge now that there are other players in the NBA. Lebron, D Wade, and Amare to name a few are very outstanding players.

This brings me to my point of all this. Why do all Laker fans HATE on everyone else. There is a fine line between being a fan and being just plain stupid. I have to hear things like: “Why even play the games, bring the title to LA?” “Yao is gone, It’s a wrap!” Then when they lose, these same people are the first to either give excuses, or be missing for a couple days. I have heard so many people talk about how Andrew Bynum is the “truth” the “savior.” Really!?!?! I remember vividly an interview with Kareem where he said, “You can’t teach DOMINANT! You are either dominant or you are not!” 4 pts in the second round of the playoffs is by far not dominant nor does it deserve a max contract or the title as being the “savior” the “missing link” or the “truth.” If that is what you want to measure YOUR savior as, please do.

I was sent this email rant about Kobe from chief, written by Vice. I would like to share it with you all:

I HATE him for the fact that early in his career he was quoted as
saying something like “truthfully I didn’t watch Jordan play that  much when I was young.”
 (Yeah right.)
I HATE him for the fact that the Lakers stay catering to him like an only child whether its beneficial or detrimental to the team. It  only furthers his spoiled brattitude.
(He’s the kid that brought his ball to the park but threatened to leave with it if he wasn’t picked first, or didn’t get to play on  the team that was winning.)

I HATE him for how he handled his infidelity issues by bringing  Shaq’s
name into it.
 (Amazingly Bitchmade.)

I HATE him for the fact that he is ALWAYS whining and complaining to the refs for contact. Its a cancer in the league in general, but  watch the games, he complains more than anyone. He feels he gets  fouled every play and even more so if the shot doesn’t fall for him.
(They called it the “Rasheed” Rule regarding stricter techs…..it  shoulda been the “Kobe” Rule)

I HATE him for that little “jump into the defender” jumpshot he’s perfected over the last 3 yrs…
(Thank the Lord the refs don’t call it for him much anymore)

I HATE him for his “if we’re winning” smirking and shit talking he does, while “if we’re losing” he won’t even look at anybody in the  eye and acts like his mind is “elsewhere”.

I HATE him for the fact that no matter how bad the Raptors may have
been at the time, they STILL ALLOWED HIM to score 81 pts. The  Raptors
should have been demoted to the NBDL that nite.

I HATE him for the way the media disguises his public rants and  raves
against teammates and ownership as “leadership” and “his will  to win
at any cost” and for the way the players never fire back at  him or stand up for themselves.

BUT…

To truly HATE someone….you must RESPECT them.

He’s a phenomenal basketball player and will be one of the grestest players ever to play in the NBA. (**vomits in mouth**)

But that doesn’t mean I can’t HATE him.

So I will continue to HATE him.

LOL at his new found “I’m-gonna-shut-the-fuck-up-and-finally-be-a-supportive teammate-now” attitude fooling people into revisionist remorse for his well-deserved hatred. Keep the hate up people, don’t let the Mamba slither on you, he’s still a SNAKE. He’s a bitch. And will always be a bitch.

So I will continue to celebrate this year of Two Thousand and Hate against him.

Fuck him.

That was well said.

Fans, please, it is really easy to root for the best teams. There are new bandwagooners every year. You know who you all are who own Steelers Jerseys.

Let it be known that:

I am a Clipeprs fan
I am a Titans fan
I am a Dodgers fan
I am a fan of women
I am a fan of World of Warcraft
I am a fan of Funny

Get your own identities! B e a fan of something, not the in thing!!!

I have been Super Busy

May 9, 2009

I have been neglecting my obligation as a blogger.  I am sorry all, but real life activities has really been kicking my behind. So now that I am getting back into the mode, I will be posting on here more frequently.

After I came back from the PI, I had to go to Las Vegas for the fight. For all those that have watched 24/7, the guy with the one eye is my trainer, Shane. He is the man and is really good. Hit me up if you are really serious about training there with Shane. If you didnt get to see the overdrive segment of 24/7 here it is:

Good ol’ Freddie schools Floyd Sr. yet again!

So a lot of things going on right now. Lets start with the man: MANNY RAMIREZ!
So Manny was recently suspended for 50 games for violating the league’s drug policy. When people hear that, they are quick judge and automatically think that it was steroids. I have to admit that at first hearing the news, I myself thought that it was steroids as well. In actuality, Manny was prescribed a medication, by a doctor, that contained a banned substance (not steroids). This is what he had to say:

“Recently, I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me. “Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I’ve taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons.”

I personally believe him. People make mistakes and unlike A ROD, Manny is taking the punishment like a man.

Reasons why this is not the worst thing to happen to the Dodgers:

-Manny comes back well rested and fresh
-Dodgers are on a weak division and will probably be still in 1st place
-Dodgers save $7.5 million

See you July 3rd Manny!!!!

I <3 Cassie even more now =)

For all those that have not seen this here it is:

Diddy really knows how to promote his artists. I love it and you can count me in on buying her new album. I think she deserves it.

Well this brings me to a thought. So I was in vegas the night before the fight and we were hosting a party at Prive in Planet Hollywood. As always my phone was ringing off the hook with people asking all of the best questions I talked about in a previous blog entry. But what struck me the most was my friends that were angry at me that I couldn’t do much for thier friends. Now, If I know you on a personal level, you all know that you have never paid to get into any of my events, and if you had to it was for something huge. So in general my friends never really pay to get into my events. But why do some of these people think its cool to ask me to hook up all of their friends. It happens even in LA. That is like if my friend was a mechanic and he was going to fix my car and when i get to his shop, i bring 3 more friends who need their cars fixed, and when my other friends have to pay I get all mad at him and say things like.” I thought we were friends.” Yes, these are the things i have to go through. Just for everyone to know, my loyalties stop at the people i personally know. If you bring a friend it’s cool, but do not expect me to be as cool as I am with you, with your friend as well. But don’t take it as a personal slap in the face as well. Everyone pays, everyone waits in line.

On another note check this video out. Jerry showed me this video the other day and I can’t stop watching it. This is this kid’s High School project. It was shot in one take with the audio. Enjoy!

My favorite part is when the girl playing the violin starts to dance. Damn I wish I went to that HS =)

Lastly, there is this girl that has been flaking on me so I want to put her on blast!!!

on the left… Jennifer Marie Carpio

She was supposed to go to Vegas but she didn’t end up going! You are a jerk and lets go out sometime soon.

aight all…. till next time!!

Boracay

April 18, 2009

This is by far, the most beautifulest (is that a word) places I have ever been. We are lucky enough that it is not to hot over here. It’s like a huge backdrop from a movie. I am here with a lot of my good friends.

What we are all asking is: WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARL?
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GUY

 CARL FRITZ

Good ol carl missed his flight. Apparently he does not know the difference between 12 noon and 12 midnight, So he has to make this trek to Boracay on his own and unfortunately , Carl has the street smarts of Mr Rodgers stuck in Compton.  So we have a pool here and apparently no one wants to put money in that Carl will get here smoothly LOL. Not even I.

Check this out:

Arroz Caldo at KFC

and it had regular pieces of KFC in it.

No Lie: We all fit in one  trike

I thought i was going to die, all of us in one of those trikes but it was “hella” fun.

Everyone go to Highlands tonight. Happy bday to Carla aka DJ C L A! Wait a minute. It’ already 11pm there already so whatever. If you are at home reading this, shame on you for not being at the Highlands and get a life =)

I’m going going, back back, to P I P I

April 15, 2009

So I am Phillippine bound today! That is the reason why I have been busy over my head. I am trying to do as much as I can before my 10 day trek to the motherland. I have not been there since I was 4 years old so I have been really excited to go. People have been giving me both useful and useless comments about this trip, but all in all, it all points to a fun time. I really wish more of my friends can come with me but ever since I canceled my trip last year, I told myself that I was going no matter what this year.

That brings me to a couple of crazy thoughts. Don’t you hate it when people tell you they are down to do things, but when it comes down to it, they never are really down to do much. In the past, I caught myself always waiting on others. You always want to do certain things, but you are afraid of doing it on your own. I won’t say that I am totally free from this feeling, because there are times where I don’t want to do things unless someone goes with me, but I really have to learn to do things reguardless if people have my back or not. Even if that means doing it on my own.

Anyways I am doing my last minute packing and I can’t wait to get there. I will be posting up periodically so stay tuned for my adventures in the PI. I guess I really am galivanting.

Things to look forward to:

My last blog had such a good good response. People were asking me to add a few things so watch out for my revision to that blog coming out soon.

I will try to video blog in the PI as much as I can, so hopefully you guys will get to see some of the things I do out there.

Don;t forget to check out Thursdays @ AREA, Fridays @ Highlands and Saturdays @ LAX.

I will miss these guys

(everyone but Stephanie)
